We are are a 24-hour state-wide reading service which provides newspapers and other local publications in audio format to blind, low-vision and physically print-impaired individuals. We provide audio information from Montana newspapers and publications which is not available on commercial radio or television stations.
It is our goal to make Montana newspapers accessible to everyone!
Daily newspapers are an unparalelled source of local and community information. Although television, commercial radio and the internet are all good sources of information, nothing keeps people informed about their community like a local newspaper.
The Montana Audio Information Network is the only service in the state of Montana where residents who cannot read the newspaper because of a visual loss or physical disability can access all local daily Montana newspapers.
We read daily Montana newspapers from Missoula, Hamilton, Kalispell, Butte, Bozeman, Helena, Great Falls and Billings. We read weekly and semi-weekly newspapers from around the state, regional magazines and tribal newspapers on a rotating basis.
We broadcast live from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, Monday-Friday, and our broadcasts are recorded for evening and weekend playback. We also broadcast some national programming during some weekend, evening and holiday hours. Please see the schedule page for more information on programming.
